I HOPE that I'm just as DIRECT, ON-POINT, AND STRAIGHT-TO-THE-POINT, no matter HOW LONG-MESSAGED, REPETITIVE, AND SO ON, that I MIGHT GET--why do I ABSOLUTELY HATE, LOATH, DISPISE, ETC. OPPOSITE-SEX PLOTONIC FRIENDSHIPS? WELL, for ONE THING, if you're JUST AS HONEST IN YOUR EXAMINATION OF THIS MATTER, as THIS CAN BE AS A SERIOUS PROBLEM, YOU'D KNOW PERFECTLY WELL that there's ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE that a COMMITTED, ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP is the END-RESULT INCENTIVE; there are LIMITS that you WOULDN'T HAVE, if you WEREN'T PLOTONIC. I MAY AS WELL JUMP ON IT: you're forbidden to have sex. THAT'S what I don't like about it, but that ain't the ONLY THING that I don't like--ANOTHER DISASTER IS: if you've allowed yourself to be DOOPED into this PLOTONIC SHIT, and YOR "OPPOSITE-SEX FRIEND" is in a committed relationship with one other, INSTEAD OF YOU, and YOU'RE at their HOUSE, or in ANY OTHER WAY in THEIR COMPANY, AND EVEN WORSE, invited to THEIR WEDDING, and you were just STUPID ENOUGH TO GO, you're JUST AS STUPID to spend nights in their house as THEIR GUEST, sleeping in ANY GUEST ROOM, apart from THEIRS, I have JUSTTHIS ONE QUESTION, which COULD MULTIPLY--WHY, WHY, WHY, OH WHY would you subject to such torture? PART of ALL-ABOVE-MENTIONED INSTANCES DID happen to ME, in either one or the other similar form, which is EXACTLY WHY I could just IMAGINE YOUR VERSION of ANY EXPERIENCE/EXPERIENCES. NOW, if YOU, INDEED, ARE ONE that's just PERFECTLY FINE "AND A LODDIE-DODDIE-DAH TO YOU, TOO" kind of SETTLED-WITH-BEING-CONTENT-WITH-YOURSELF-BY-YOURSELF (ONE, TWO, THREE), BETTER YOU THAN ME! THAT'S for DAMN sure!

I damn sure HOPE NOT, for YOUR sake! THAT'S EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! DON'T YOU KNOW that as UNHEALTHY AS OPPOSITE-SEX-PLOTONIC FRIENDSHIPS, which DEFINITELY EXPLAINS why I would NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER BE INVOLVED WITH SUCH, ARE, because of the VERY LACK OF ANY SECURED ROMANCE-FOR-LIFE GUARANTEE, SUCH could LITTERALLY KILL YOU, if not IMMEDIATELY, but GRADUALLY, AS WELL AS PAINFULLY? How would it "KILL YOU?" SUICIDE, for ONE FUCKIN' THING! Is YOUR LIFE WORTH THAT? You BETTER SAY "NO," DAMMIT!
This whole thing is just hilarious! So, no matter if you're in the house with a platonic "friend", or with another couple, or home by yourself, you're still Single&available. It comes down to that--you are still who you are, no matter how much you hate it, no matter how you hate platonic "friends".
What value to platonic friends have, anyway. They only remind single people of how lonely they are and how single they are and how they can't obtain what they really want.

Well, the ONLY ABSOLUTE REMEDY that there EVER IS would be the following: AVOIDANCE--AVOID ANY/ALL SUCH SITUATIONS/PEOPLE/ANY OTHER that WOULD be such reminders; I'm EXTREMELY GLAD that I don't involve with boyfriend/girlfriend/married situations so that SUCH DISCOMFORTS are prevented--PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

that is about the stupidest thing i've ever heard. i have lots of friends that are guys. a few of them are involved or married. and you know what, i'm happy for them. and i get along with their partners also. i have no desire to have sex with the guys. we are friends. and you know what. i'd take their friendship over a roll in the hay anyday. it means so much more than just a fuck does. and as for having an actual romantic relationship with them, i don't look at them like that. they are friends.
so what i'm confused on i think is that terrance you are saying this isn't possible? you can't do this or hate it? i don't understand why.
